"Everything was fine up until my last semester. I had issues with Florida prepaid and HCC. HCC was supposed to contact FPP about any issues with payment but instead they sent me an email and took their time communicating with me. They either wouldn’t answer my questions and just repeat themselves, or they would straight up tell me I had to figure it out. The lack of communication with the admissions office and the bursar is unbelievable as a professional atmosphere. I emailed the dean and not to my surprise, they didn’t respond. It’s really disappointing how much the staff of HCC doesn’t seem to care. How can anyone feel like pursuing an education is important when even the employees could care less."

"My daughter graduated in the first week of May and still has not received her Diploma. They said it would take 8 to 12 weeks. The graduation ceremony was thrown together with no thought or care given. They had the kids write their names on a piece of paper, get in line and hand it to the person announcing the names. I assume finding some people to alphabetize the students and diplomas was a difficult task as proven by the lack of organization, so that's why they said they were going to mail them. Well, now it's 14 weeks and counting, further proving HCC's lack of care, organization and poor staffing."

"Money hunger school. They drop you from classes when they want too and if you don't drop a class they charge you for it, put a W on your transcripts, and put it on your credit. This has happened to me twice and I can't transfer to any school until dept is paid. Worst school in Hillsborough County. You get what you pay here...a cheap education."

"I am writing this review when I used to be a student there back from 2012-2014. Overall very nice professors and nice campus. For my time being there I only had issues with two professors. One of them was fired, the other still works there but she selects students from favoritism if she doesn’t like you forget it. also the way she teaches isn’t great at all. Not going to give her name out but she teaches algebra. Overall all the other professors were very nice and helpful and made learning enjoyable"

"I understand that other students need help but I should not have to wait a month to get in touch with a counselor. I am about to start my summer semester and I am having trouble registering for classes. I have other concerns as well and I’ve tried to reach out to the advising team but they just give me the run around and tell me I have to schedule an appointment with an advisor. The advisors are not available until May 19th! By then my classes would have already started…I Also don’t have time in my schedule these days to go in for a walk in during the week. I was advised to email an advisor so I did and they offered no help and basically told me I would have to schedule an appointment! Again I understand others need help as well but it should not be this complicated to get help. I wouldn’t mind scheduling something if it wasn’t so far out. I just thinkable there needs to be a better system or something because this is extremely frustrating."
